Seven String

I make seven string guitars for Brazillian Jazz, Classical and Flamenco guitarists. The low bass string offers options in tuning and tone color over the instruments whole range. The seventh bass string brings out additional richness in the sound due to it’s support of more overtones in the guitar. I make them with or without the sound port on the side.

What kind of music would you play on a seven string guitar? Here are some photos and sound samples of these guitars.

Maybe I’m Amazed
This sample is by Brian Moran, he commissioned this guitar in 2009 and this excerpt is to show the versatility of the seven string guitar.

Emocao sample
This sample is by Brazilian guitarist and composer Carlos Oliviera. He is playing on a seven string he commissioned in 2010. Carlos’ seven string is made with a Western Red Cedar top and Indian Rosewood back and sides. You can see a photo of it at the bottom of this page.

The next video is by Flamenco guitarsist Jason McGuire. He emphasizes another aspect of this seven string.
